Casuarine beach, not sure about the wheel tracks, dont think there is vehicle access?

FISHOS ARE BLOODY MAD!!!

these were taken at cahills crossing in Kakadu, this is where we crossed the east alligator river into Arnhem Land. Afternoon before these were taken, the tide was much higher and there were about 4 or 5 fishos  in knee deep water, fishing around the middle of the crossing, must surely help if you want to be a fisherman if you are more than slightly unhinged!!!!!

Note the relative positions of the croc, the depth marker and the fisherman, the croc had been just sitting there when...........

the fisho has caught an undersize fish, when he turned his back to unhook the and release the fish.............

the croc took off, after us mob on the lookout yelled out, the fisho looked back and headed to higher ground.......

now note where the croc settled in relation to where the fisho was first standing....... oh, by the way, i aint a fisherman, this pic was taken with almost maximum zoom!! we picked up the paper this morning and couple of 24 year old locals went swimming at mary river NP yesty arvo, NPWS and water police are back out on the river today trying locate the body of the one the croc took!!!!
